Kauai South Shore Restaurants
Merriman’s Fish House
Located at the Shops in Kukui’ula, Merriman’s Fish House offers farm to table dishes made from the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy Chateaubriand of Hawaii Raised Beef, Merriman’s Original Wok Charred ‘Ahi, or Ma Kai, the Nightly Fish Special.
They are open from 4:00-8:30pm with Happy Hour being from 4-5pm. Live music is also provided Monday-Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm.

Brennecke’s Beach Broiler
In Poipu Beach on Kauai’s South Shore, Brennecke’s Beach Broiler serves up pupus, soup and salad, burgers, pasta, steak, and of course seafood! From their Grilled Pineapple Chicken Sandwich to their Kalbi Beef Ribs, you can’t go wrong!
Although they are open 7 days a week, their hours do vary so you might want to give them a call if you’re coming from the other side of the island.

Keoki’s Paradise
Come to Keoki’s Paradise in Koloa for not just the food but also the experience. You’ll find this South Shore restaurant in the Poipu Shopping Village. Encounter open air dining and mouthwatering food Monday-Friday from 11am-10pm. Enjoy Pupus, salads, fresh fish & seafood, steaks and island favorites. Don’t forget about dessert and their extensive wine list, beers and cocktails!

The Beach House Restaurant
Also located in Koloa and voted one of the best restaurants on Kauai’s South Shore, The Beach House is passionate about food, drink and merrimaking! Enjoy pupus, salads, and main dishes such as Fish & Lobster Pasta, Seared Ahi Steak and Filet Mignon. Indulge in desserts like Kauai Coffee Tiramisu and Coconut Creme Brûlée.
Wine and Champagne is offered by the bottle as well as drinks by the glass. Dinner is served from 3:30-8:30pm with Happy Hour from 3:30-4:30. Catch live music daily from 3:30-5:30pm. This is one of Kauai’s most sought after reservations, so be sure to make one early!

Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi
Another one of Kauai South Shore restaurants located at the Shops in Kukui’ula, Roy Yamaguchi is a proud supporter of local farms and fisherman. Delight in dishes such as Open Fire Grilled “Black Angus” Ribeye Steak, Slow Braised Honey Mustard Grilled Beef Short Ribs, and a 1849 Spicy Ramen Bowl. They also serve Pupus, Salads, and of course dessert (Roy Yamaguchi’s Melting Hot Chocolate Souffle, YES PLEASE!).
Hours are 5-9pm nightly, call for reservations.

La Spezia
Head over to Old Koloa Town to find La Spezia, voted Kauai’s best Italian restaurant. Start with appetizers like Mozzerella Fresca and Fried Zucchini. Continue enjoying Short Rib Ravioli, Spaghetti Bolognese, Sausage and Peppers, and Wagyu Hanger Steak. Desserts include Salted Carmel Panna Cotta, Amaro Cheesecake, and of course Tiramisu.
Open Tuesday-Saturday from 5-9pm. Reservations are recommended, especially for large parties.

Tidepools
Located at The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, this restaurant on Kauai’s South Shore is super popular. Its romantic ambiance is amplified by waterfalls, thatched bungalows and koi filled lagoons. It’s truly a must-have experience when visiting Kauai. On the Tidepools menu you’ll find appetizers such as Hamachi Sashimi and Polenta Crusted Scallops, salads, vegetarian dishes, and dinners from both the land and sea. Desserts and cocktail’s are also available.
They’re open from 5-9pm and reservations are highly recommended.
