Little Fish Coffee in Poipu serves organic, fair trade coffees as well as a variety of other drinks and smoothies. You can also grab acai bowls, bagels, and sandwiches while you pick up your favorite drink.
Their coffee gets really good reviews. In fact it’s recommended you get there at least a half an hour before opening as there is usually quite a long line.
*Note: Although their website lists two locations it appears that their location in Hanapepe is permanently closed.

Java Kai located in Kapa’a is a popular spot to grab coffee and breakfast. They also serve lunch too, including vegan friendly choices. But since this post is about coffee, that’s what I’ll focus on. 🙂
Their long list of options includes everything from lattes and espressos to iced mochas and nitro cold brews. Java Kai does roast all their own coffee as well as bake all their own pastries.
As with other popular spots, the line is usually out the door, and often down the street. Ordering online can save you some time.

Sunrise Coffee in Lihue is a local favorite. They offer craft coffees and cold brews along with bagels, acai bowls and other breakfast items. Their avocado toast is a must try!
The staff is friendly, the price is fair, and the coffee is great. They have a lot of raving fans that think they serve the best coffee on Kauai. Be sure to check them out the next time you visit.

Kauai Coffee Company isn’t just a place to buy a coffee, it’s actually a coffee plantation on Kauai. (Not to be confused with Kona coffee which comes from the Big Island.) Located in Kalaheo, it’s also the largest coffee farm in the United States!

Kauai Coffee Co offers tours and tasting. Explore the grounds with a guided tour, or you can roam around yourself and check out things at your own pace. Free samples are available to see what you like, and you can purchase freshly roasted coffee as well as souvenirs from their gift shop.
