Hi, I’m Kimi!
After spending years only dreaming about traveling to Hawaii, hubby and I booked our first trip to Kauai for our 30th Anniversary.
Visiting Kauai was life-changing!
As a couple in our 50s, non-athletic and with limited mobility (I was recovering from a knee injury our first visit) we chose to do things a little differently. We didn’t hike, go zip lining or on any of the popular tours.
What we did do was soak up the beauty of Kauai, our way!
We enjoyed our morning walks down to the beach, coffee in hand, to watch the sunrise. We didn’t jam pack our schedule with activity after activity. We had time to rest, explore the island and delight in the simple pleasures it has to offer.
The draw to return to the island I fell in love with is strong!
Not a single day goes by that I don’t think about, dream about and relive my memories of Kauai.
I believe I’m not alone, Kauai love is real. I see so many people online who are like me, counting down the days until their next trip to the Garden Isle.
So why did I start this blog?
When I went to Kauai the first time, I knew basically nothing about it other than it was the smallest, wettest and least populated of the four major Hawaiian islands.
But now after having experienced the island, I’ve learned a few things. I’ve visited some really cool spots, eaten delicious food, and stayed at some amazing resorts (with more to come!).
It’s my goal to help you not only find all the island has to offer, but to do it on your terms.
This isn’t your typical travel blog that talks about a million different destinations
It’s all Kauai, all the time. 🙂
I’ll be sharing good eats, fun things to do, and amazing places to stay. You’ll see suggestions based on experience as well as research, and tips and advice that I hope will make your next trip the best one yet.
And if you haven’t been to Kauai yet, what are you waiting for?
It’s time to do Kauai My Way!
Mahalo for being here!
